Burning Thigh Pain (Meralgia Paresthetica)
When one of the large sensory nerves in the leg is being compressed a painful, burning sensation on the outer part of the thigh may occur. This burning sensation is called Meralgia paresthetica. The pain or burning sensation usually occurs on only one side of the body, but can spread across the groin and buttocks. Treatments focus on relieving the pressure on the nerve and reducing inflammation.
